ADVOCACY FOR PATIENTS, BY PATIENTS

The Patient Advocacy Incubator is dedicated to turning passion into purposeful advocacy. Our program equips patient advocates with the skills to establish effective organizations, craft impactful campaigns, shape and influence policy, and strategize for successful outcomes. We also focus on enhancing negotiation skills and fundraising for meaningful projects. Through the Incubator, you’ll have the opportunity to share best practices, exchange knowledge and ideas, and fully realize your potential as a patient advocate.

Hello and welcome to Section 1: Principles of Strategy, covering the practical aspects of training and capacity-building.

In this section, you’ll learn the principles of developing a strategy for a non-profit organization, including program development, planning, monitoring, and evaluation. It’s designed to help you create your own strategic plan or assess and adapt to an existing one.

The section includes four theoretical, on-demand self-study sections. Each section will provide an overview with an introduction to what you can expect, core learning resources, and guidance on your tasks. We’re excited to join you on this learning journey!
