Welcome to the Patient Advocate Incubator (PAI) platform! We are thrilled to have you join us on this journey of education and collaboration. Our mission at PAI is to empower patient advocates with the knowledge and skills needed to make a meaningful impact in the community.
We are proud to present this training program, “Vicarious & Secondary Trauma,” provided by the South African Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG). SADAG is a highly reputable non-profit organisation dedicated to serving as a support network for the thousands of South Africans who live with mental health challenges.
Throughout the course, you will have the opportunity to engage with materials prepared by SADAG, allowing you to gain insights into;

- Different NGOs that deal with Trauma
By the end of this in-depth course, you will be able to
- Identify and describe vicarious trauma.
- Understand the impact of trauma on oneself.
- Be equipped with practical tools and tips on ways to manage trauma.
- Provided resources on ways to get help.
